Turned out to be very on shore but the tide was dropping so I gave it a go on a 5.3 on my K-Bay. Made it out back a couple of times before the wind dropped a bit and spent the next 3 runs getting broadsided by 10 ft faces and slammed back to shore.

Changed up to a 24 cm fin and, bingo, enough to get through the break. By this time the waves oppposite the river mouth were jacking up to 15 ft. Got punished with the odd miss timed gybe but got my biggest jump of the year flat out off a 12 ft ramp, very high and a bit scary.

The main bonus was only 3 people out plus a couple of kiters, very rare for bigbury, must be too onshore for most.
